If you're a fresh grad, take a look at Proton’s Fresh Graduate Campaign

Proton’s commerce company, Proton Commerce Sdn Bhd (PCSB), has a new campaign to help fresh graduates purchase their first cars. Under the campaign, fresh grads can purchase a Proton with low Hire Purchase (HP) loan rates.

The Fresh Graduate Campaign is designed to help address one of the key mobility issues graduates face when buying their first cars.

Many graduates tend to get rejected when applying for an HP loan as they often don’t have proof of income for 3 months. This is a common requirement for most HP loans but nobody has yet addressed the issue until recently.

Now that PCSB has identified the issue, the company has come up with a solution by simplifying the process. All a fresh graduate buyer need is a letter of employment or a month’s salary slip to qualify for the loan.

Of course, the fresh graduate will also have to be a minimum diploma holder, be aged between 18-30 years old, and have a minimum salary of RM 1,500.

PCSB also didn’t forget about the interest rate. It has a low 2.98 percent interest rate, one of the lowest in the segment. With low interest, fresh graduates will possibly have monthly repayments from as low as RM 239 per month depending on which Proton model and variant they purchased.

The Fresh Graduate Campaign will run from now until 31 December 2020 to coincide with the sales tax exemption implemented under the Penjana Economic Recovery Plan.

Other than the Fresh Graduate Campaign, PCSB is also announcing that they have reduced the overall offering interest rates to as low as 2.22 percent when customers buy a new car.

This would mean Proton buyers will be able to register lower monthly repayment allowing them to use the extra savings on other essential items. The special interest rate is subjected to a customer’s creditability and margin of finance.
