Launching in Malaysia soon - ROI open for Audi Q8 e-tron and e-tron GT

  • Q8 e-tron and e-tron GT models coming
  • High performance RS e-tron GT will be offered
  • Q8 e-tron to be available in standard and Sportback body styles

PHS Automotive Malaysia (PHSAM), the official distributor for Audi cars in Malaysia, has opened registration of interest (ROI) for the all-electric (EV) Audi e-tron models. In the form, prospective buyers are able to pick between variants of the Audi e-tron GT and Q8 e-tron.

For the Audi e-Tron GT, there will be two variants available – e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT. Both use a dual-motor setup (AWD) with an 84 kWh battery that gives a WLTP range of up to 501 km.

The e-tron GT makes 476 PS and 630 Nm, while the high-performance RS e-tron GT outputs 598 PS and 830 Nm. 0-100 km/h sprint times are 4.1 seconds and 3.3 seconds respectively.

With an 800V system like the Porsche Taycan, which shares the same platform, the Audi e-tron GT supports up to 270 kW DC fast charging and 22 kW AC charging.

As for the Q8 e-tron, both the standard and Sportback body style will be offered, and both with 50 e-tron and 55 e-tron variants available.

To avoid confusion, the Audi Q8 e-tron was renamed from Audi e-tron as the brand intends to make a "clear statement that the Audi Q8 e-tron is the top model among its electric SUVs and crossovers.”

The Audi Q8 50 e-tron outputs 340 PS and 664 Nm from two electric motors (AWD), which are juiced up by an 89 kWh battery. WLTP range is up to 505 km for the Sportback and 491 km for the standard body.

The Audi Q8 55 e-tron produces 408 PS and 664 Nm with a larger 106 kWh battery that allows a WLTP range of up to 600 km for the Sportback and 582 km in the standard body.

AC charging for all variants of the Q8 e-tron is up to 11 kW, with an optional upgrade to 22 kW in international markets. DC fast charging is up to 150 kW for the Q8 50 e-tron and 170 kW for the Q8 55 e-tron.
