Honda和LG能源将建立合资企业，在美建造价值44亿美元的电池厂

LG新能源（LGES）和Honda Motor宣布达成协议，成立一家合资公司，在美国生产锂离子电池，为北美市场的Honda和Acura EV车型提供动力。

根据该协议，LGES和Honda将总共投资44亿美元，在美国建立一家新的合资工厂。该工厂的目标是年产能约为40 GWh。新合资工厂生产的袋装电池将专门供应给Honda在北美的工厂。

尽管合资工厂的地点尚未敲定，但两家公司的目标是在2023年初开始建设，并在2025年底前开始大规模生产先进的锂离子电池。

LG Energy Solution的CEO——Youngsoo Kwon表示：“我们与Honda的合资企业拥有卓越的品牌声誉，是我们在快速增长的北美市场推广电气化中长期战略的又一个里程碑。”

“我们的最终目标是赢得尊贵客户的信任和尊重，我们渴望将自己定位为领先的电池创新者，与Honda合作实现其电气化的核心举措，并为有眼光的终端消费者提供可持续能源解决方案，”他补充道。

Honda总裁兼CEO兼代表董事Toshihiro Mibe表示:“Honda致力于在本地采购电动汽车电池，这与我们长期以来致力于制造贴近客户的产品的承诺相一致，而电池是电动汽车的关键组成部分。这项在美国与全球领先的电池制造商LGES的合作计划将成为Honda实现电气化的一部分。”

合资公司计划于2022年成立。
