Volvo’s Android-based infotainment system that first made its debut on the Volvo XC40 Recharge will soon be made available on more models. Volvo will be rolling out the update in phases.
The next model to offer users the convenience of Google and other Android products from the Google Play Store will be the recently refreshed 2022 Volvo XC60. The Volvo S90, V90, and V90 Cross Country are scheduled to follow next.
The new infotainment system is a product of a close collaboration between Volvo and Google. Volvo knows it as the Digital Services package, engineers specifically designed the system to give customers the same experience that they are used to when they use their phones.
Other than that, Volvo also made some tweaks to further improve hands-free interaction on the Google Assistant feature.
This means that the system will allow users the convenience of more hands-free commands than a standard Android device, so there is less need to take their hands off the wheel and keeping their focus on the road.
Volvo owners can happily say goodbye to phone holders!
