Queen of Nürburgring, Sabine Schmitz has died after a long battle with cancer. According to German publication LSR Freunde, Schmitz passed away on 16 March 2021 at 51.
Her team, Frikadelli Racing, has yet to release an official statement on her passing.

Schmitz is well-known to be the only woman to win a 24-hour race in the Green Hell. To date, no other woman has completed as many laps on the Nordschleife as Schmitz.
The German herself estimated that she has lapped the track more than 20,000 times, both on racing occasions and on taxi-ing shows.
A trained hotelier, Schmitz has always had a love for motorsport, having been born in the town of Nurburg itself. She was also known to have owned a bar-restaurant named after a section of the track.
Although she has already made a name for herself as a force in the motorsport world, it wasn’t until she was invited to host the revamped Top Gear that she became a household name.
Schmitz has been battling breast cancer since 2017. She revealed in a Facebook post in July 2020, she had sought treatment and her condition had been improving, but, unfortunately, she had a relapse during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Replace my old Mercedes engine or buy a new car? Two days ago, I took my car to the shop because my oil pan blew. However it is too late as my mechanic said there were metal flakes in what was left of the oil. The only way to maintain it is to replace the engine but it would cost a lot. My friend who shared with me said that it wouldn’t drive as the same after replacing and it is a great possibility that there will be wasting money. He recommended me to buy a new car.
