Malaysian-bound Ora Good Cat has purr-fect looks but how does it drive?

The Ora Good Cat has been taking the internet by storm, not only due to its adorable looks but also because the car has been spied down in Klang. We know the specs of the Good Cat, like its 2-battery option and at least 401 km range, but here’s a little more on how the electric vehicle (EV) drives as told by YouTuber Wheelsboy.

But before we dive into the drive, let’s address the look. If you think that the Good Cat’s cute and adorable silhouette looks familiar, that’s because the car was penned by a former Porsche designer Emanuel Derta.

This explains the Porsche-esque front end and bulging wheel fenders that give the car a low riding sporty profile. The same can’t be said about the rear though.

From the rear, the Good Cat bears a lot of resemblance with the previous generation Suzuki Swift. Designers integrated the tail lamp into the windscreen glass for a modern twist, but the lack of tail lamp design gives the rear a decidedly unfinished look.

As good as the Good Cat looks, according to Wheelsboy, the drive doesn’t live up to its good looks. The Good Cat is a regal little hatch that struts around with moderate power and has a compliant ride.

So, the hatch does the job for city driving, but it’s not a car that would pounce so it probably wouldn’t satisfy those who has an affinity for a fun drive.

Charging the car takes a little longer than Ora claims, but as Wheelsboy mentioned, it could be just the issue with the unit they have or the particular chargers they used.

If the Ora Good Cat were to be produced in Malaysia and priced competively, would you pick it over the Perodua Myvi or Honda Jazz?
