All-new 2021 Suzuki Jimny launched in Malaysia, priced at RM 169k

This is it – Naza Eastern Motor, the new distributor of Suzuki models in Malaysia, has just launched the all-new 2021 Suzuki Jimny in Malaysia. Like the ZC33S Suzuki Swift Sport, the Suzuki Jimny is imported (CBU) from Japan.

As mentioned in earlier reports, the all-new 2021 Suzuki Jimny is not a cheap little SUV. For the Malaysian market, it is priced at RM 168,900 (on-the-road without insurance and with SST discount, valid until 31-Dec 2021).

Even with those prices, Naza has managed to collect well over 30 bookings for the cute-looking SUV, an impressive figure considering that the buyers bought the car sight unseen.

Powering the all-new Suzuki Jimny is a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre K15B four-cylinder petrol engine that does 102 PS and 130 Nm, mated to a four-speed automatic. A part-time four-wheel drive (4WD) is a standard fitment as well.

The overall length of the Suzuki Jimny is 3,480 mm, while width is 1,645 mm and height is 1,720 mm. It has a 2,250 mm wheelbase.

Standard equipment on the Malaysian-spec Suzuki Jimny include LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, dark silver-finished 15-inch alloy wheels, and automatic air-conditioning. Unfortunately, like the ZC33S Swift Sport, there is no ADAS suite on offer. Naza also mentioned that the ADAS suite was not adapted for local driving conditions.

As far as safety goes, the Jimny gets 2 airbags, and electric stability program (ESP).

Colour options of the all-new 2021 Suzuki Jimny include Kinetic Yellow, Bluish Black Pearl, Jungle Green, and Medium Grey.

Being an officially-imported model also means that owners of the Suzuki Jimny are backed by a factory warranty, in this case, a 3-year/100,000 km warranty package.
