Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 and 718 Spyder launched in Malaysia, 4.0L NA, 6-speed manual only!

Sime Darby Auto Performance, the official importer and distributor of Porsche cars Malaysia, has launched the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 and the 718 Spyder. The GT4 sits at the top of the 718 range, above the GTS.

Both the 718 Cayman GT4 and 718 Spyder are powered by a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six engine that makes 420 PS and 420 Nm of torque, sending power to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.

Depending on how fast the driver shifts, the duo is able to complete the century sprint in 4.4 seconds. Top speed for the Cayman GT4 is at 304 km/h, while the 718 Spyder tops out at 301 km/h.

With more aero trickery such as the fixed rear wing and newly designed rear silencer for a functional diffuser, the 718 Cayman GT4 boasts an increase in downforce of up to 50% without affecting drag. Unlike the 718 Cayman GT4, the 718 Spyder has a spoiler that automatically deploys at 120 km/h.

The height, camber, toe angle and the anti-roll bars of the chassis for the 718 Cayman GT4 can be adjusted to the demands of each individual race track. The Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) damping system.

The 718 Cayman GT4 can be equipped with the optional Clubsport package. It includes a rear steel roll bar, a hand-held fire extinguisher and a six-point seatbelt on the driver’s side.

As for the 718 Spyder, there’s the optional Spyder Classic interior package with two-tone leather interior in Bordeaux Red/Black.

How much you ask? The 718 Cayman GT4 and 718 Spyder starts from RM 999,000 and RM 970,000 respectively.
