MYPerodua Nation postponed until further notice due to haze

As a People First organisation, Perodua has decided to postpone the MYPerodua Nation carnival until further notice, in light of the worsening haze situation nationwide.

The carnival was supposed to take place this weekend, from 20-22 September at the Setia City Oval Lawn in Setia Alam.

Produced by Five55 Production, the ad left a lasting impression in our minds mainly because of its driving scenes, which was done by two-time Dakar Rally champion Hiroshi Masuoka.

 

Malaysia-based car bidding platform myTukar gets US$30 million investment

 

Carro, Southeast Asia’s largest automotive marketplace, has invested US$30 million into Malaysia-based car bidding platform myTukar.

According to Carri spokesmen, the investment is to help the traditional dealers expand their market reach across the country and to digitize the local used car dealer industry.

2020 Titan PRO-4X teased with red Nissan logo

Nissan to debut a refresh of its full-size Titan pickup truck at the end of this month, and it just released a teaser that reveals one tiny detail. It appears we will see the off-road-focused PRO-4X model as part of the unveiling, and for the first time, it will wear a logo badge with red accents. 

From the teaser, it seems the Titan will follow a similar formula with minor tweaks such as the grille and headlight signature. We'll know (and see) more soon.

 

Honda CR-V facelift revealed in U.S. without much changes

Honda has presented its refreshed Honda CR-V for the U.S. market, complete with refreshed styling, new features and hybrid powertrain for the local market.

With Honda Malaysia moving towards an electrification future which coincides with the Malaysian Government’s roadmap, a hybrid-powered Honda CR-V may be destined for Malaysia.

 

Bugatti to build composite, carbon fiber, and aluminum versions of Baby II

At the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, Bugatti announced the revival of one of the most unique cars in the company's storied history: the Baby.

At the time of the announcement, the project was still in its infant stages, and the only available example was a 3D-printed model.

Months later at its 110th anniversary celebration in Molsheim, France, Bugatti showed the first functioning prototype, which special VIPs were allowed to test drive.

 

UAW strike could cost GM up to $100 million per day

This is the union's first strike against the No. 1 U.S. automaker in more than a decade.

By one estimate, the hit to the automaker could reach $100 million per day. Fifty-five factories and parts warehouses are at a standstill after the walkout by about 48,000 UAW members.
