Consumer survey: Lexus NX and CT200h are UK’s most reliable cars

According to a survey by the UK’s largest consumer body Which?, Lexus is UK’s most reliable car brand, ahead of second-place Toyota.

Which?’s latest survey of 47,000 UK motorists, covering almost 59,000 individual vehicles revealed zero faults with the Lexus CT200h and a near-perfect performance for the Lexus NX.

The results covered vehicles from new to three years old and three to eight years old.

In announcing the survey results, Which? added “Got the money for a Lexus? Do it. You might just forget what a mechanic’s waiting room looks like.”

99.8 percent of all Lexus sold in the UK are hybrids, to Which? says highlights the proven durability of the electrified system in making Lexus cars more resilient to faults.

Closer to home, Lexus Malaysia no longer sells the Lexus CT200h, following the discontinuation of tax exemptions for imported hybrid vehicles.

Hybrid variants contribute only a small, insignificant number to Lexus Malaysia’s total sales. Being an import-only brand, local taxes will amplify whatever little price premium the hybrid variant adds over the regular combustion engine Lexus models.

The Lexus NX is currently available in Malaysia in three variants:

NX 300 Urban: RM 303,117

NX 300 Premium: RM 321,850

NX 300 F Sport: RM 336,018

Prices are inclusive of 50% discount on SST for imported vehicles, valid only until 31-December 2020.

Toyota's Kinto is getting bored, finds a way to make the AH30 Alphard and Vellfire sliding doors close faster

You know how some cars can be truly fantastic except for one minor detail that you just can’t overlook and it ends up ruining the entire driving experience. It could be a terrible head unit or a bad seating position. Well, some of the engineers at Toyota’s Kinto subscription service thought that could be the abysmally slow speed of the sliding doors on the previous AH30 generation of the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire. Either that or they must be getting really bored over there. Or someone has secr
