Master the basics of off-roading in your Ford Ranger with the upcoming Ford Ranger Getaways

If you own a Ford Ranger and want to fully unlock its off-roading prowess and improve your wheeling skills in a safe environment, the 2 upcoming Ford Ranger Getaways training experiences is just what you need.

The first training session will be held at the M4TREC Beginner 4WD Course in Semenyih, Selangor on 26 August 2023 while the next session will be conducted at the Sar4Trac Beginner 4WD Course in Kampung Barieng, Bau, Sarawak on 16 September 2023.

Both are ideal for owners new to the 4x4 driving experience and are eager to start their off-roading adventures in their Rangers. The beginner-level 4WD courses aim to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and basic techniques to safely navigate the path less taken.

The sessions are part of this yearโ€™s Ford Ranger Getaways, the first and only in-segment adventure-based e-commerce platform catering to enhancing the ownership experience of Ford owners.

Attendees will be under the care and guidance of HRDF-certified professional instructors who are also expert off-roaders and will be conducting the course. Both the M4TREC and Sar4Trac centres are purpose-built facilities designed to offer a safe and controlled environment for learning off-roading.

Apart from learning to safely take their Rangers to the limit off-road, participants will also gain the opportunity to network with other owners and like-minded individuals. Furthermore, participants are also welcomed to bring along a companion.

Like every driving course, both sessions will begin with an in-depth briefing on safety, followed by the basics of 4x4 driving and the obstacle courses. The last segment will see participants put to practice the basic techniques under the guidance of instructors.

Nonetheless, both centres have different obstacles. At M4TREC, obstacles include Dirt Track, Roller Ramp, Frame Twister, Ridge Crossing / Slide Slope, Mud & Ruts, Rutted Track, Ditch, Hill Descend, Hill Ascend and Mud Dash.

Meanwhile, the participants at Sar4Trac will tackle obstacles at the Ngirobuh banana plantation that comprises Dirt Track, Frame Twister, Mud & Gravel, Rutted Track, Ditch, Hill Ascent, Hill Descent and Water Wading.

Once completed, each participant will receive a Certificate of Completion.

The courses are priced at RM 498 per person, with a maximum of two participants per vehicle. Next-Generation Ranger and Ranger Raptor owners who have not utilised their Inner Circle privilege card code can redeem their 30 percent discount on this training experiences.

Early bird owners of the Next-Gen Ranger Raptor 2.0L Bi-Turbo Diesel are encouraged to redeem their Getaways discount soon as itโ€™ll expire in June 2024 and places in the course are understandably in high demand.

Bookings and payments for both courses can be completed on the Ford Ranger Getaways platform via the SDAC-Ford Malaysia website. Click here for the link.
