The current Lexus NX was groundbreaking in many ways. It was the first Lexus that had a turbocharged heart, and Lexus' first foray into the luxury compact SUV (before things got even more compact with the UX). However, it's been around since 2015, and is getting long in the tooth.
The good news is, an all-new Lexus NX has been spied doing development testing. According to a source, the development mule was spotted in a car park in Shizuoka City, Japan. Does this mean an imminent announcement is due for the all-new model? We hope so.

The spyshot is consistent with an image of the NX that was leaked in February 2021. The tail lamps feature a 3-piece design that conveys width, despite the proportions of the car looking eerily similar to the outgoing model. The multi-spoke wheel design is another consistent detail in both the spyshots.
We are almost certain that the all-new Lexus NX will be receive Lexus' GA-K (also known as TNGA-K) platform which underpins the Toyota Camry, RAV4, Harrier and Lexus ES, thus blessing it with comfort and driver-pleasing characteristics. Powertrain-wise, much as we hope for turbo power to stay, it seems more likely that the all-new model will receive hybridised and Dynamic Force engines. Stay tuned!
