In Indonesia, RM 79k buys you a Mitsubishi Xpander with Rockford Fosgate audio!

'Xpand Your Music Adventure', this is the tagline for the special edition Mitsubishi Xpander Rockford Fosgate Black Edition. This treatment is also extended to the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross.

Good news? In this guise, the Xpander gets decked out in gloss black trim throughout the car, and more importantly, a Rockford Fosgate Audio System. The bad news is, this special edition is sold in Indonesia (for now at least). Perhaps Malaysia can get such an edition if you picket hard enough (online please, no physical gatherings).

Said gloss black treatment goes to the exterior bits like the grille, lower bumper garnishes (front and rear), wing mirrors, roof rails (for the Cross) and wheels. Of the Rockford Fosgate Audio System, it is a 6-speaker set up, complimented by a Digital Signal Processor and subwoofer. Enticing, isn't it?

Under the skin though, the oily bits are the same as before, meaning a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder MIVEC engine (105 PS, 141 Nm) soldiers on, paired to a 4-speed automatic (Xpander Cross is auto-only) or 5-speed manual. Prices start from IDR 273 million (RM 79,000) to IDR 312 million (RM 91,000).
