Mitsubishi Motors' sales advisors in Malaysia won’t nanny you during test drives anymore

The new norm brought about plenty of obstacles and hindrances for regular everyday tasks we took for granted. This included test drives prior to purchasing a new vehicle. Nonetheless, the pandemic put a stop to that for a while in the name of social distancing.

Once things begun to open up again, those activities resumed with plenty of safety practices implemented. However, seeing that the number of Covid-19 cases remains at a steady number, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) is offering unaccompanied test drives for Klang Valley customers.

This presents customers with the option of conducting the test drive unaccompanied or with a MMM Sales Consultant present.

To sign up for the option, customers will need to visit MMM’s official website and submit a request. Following this, a MMM personnel will be in touch to verify and confirm the appointment before making the necessary arrangements to deliver the test-drive vehicle to the customer’s preferred location.

On the day of the drive itself, the personnel will sanitise all touch points of the vehicle and provide product information before handing it over to the customer. The test drive session is an hour long and the customer will return the vehicle to the same pick-up point.

“Shopping for a new vehicle present day is different than it was before the pandemic. At Mitsubishi Motors, we saw this as an opportunity to improve our customer’s experience and convenience. Through our Mitsubishi Online Showroom, customers can now learn about Mitsubishi vehicles, and they only need to fill up a form to schedule an appointment with our authorised dealers.  We will then take care of the rest of the process right to delivering the Mitsubishi vehicle to customer’s doorsteps,” said Shinya Ikeda, Chief Executive Officer of MMM.
