Zero-tax price for BMW iX confirmed, RM 56k less than before - from RM 379k to RM 430k

  • Output of 326 PS, 630 Nm with 425 km range

The tax-free prices of the BMW iX xDrive40 have been confirmed, starting from RM 379,800 to RM 430,400 (OTR without insurance, with extended warranty and service package) ​for the xDrive40 Sport with Power Package.

Previously, prices at launch ranged from RM 435,800 to RM 493,400. This marks a reduction of RM 56k for the base variant.

The Power Package consists of the BMW i Public Charging Cable and BMW i Wallbox that will be installed in customers’ home.

Power of the BMW iX xDrive40 comes from a dual-motor setup (all-wheel drive) with 326 PS/630 Nm that does 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds, while top speed is 200 km/h.

Battery capacity is rated at 76.6 kWh, which allows for an electric range of up to 425 km in the WLTP cycle. The onboard charger allows up to 11 kW AC charging, while DC fast charging is rated at 150 kW.

As standard, the BMW iX comes with LED headlights, 21-inch wheels, Live Cockpit Professional with dual curved displays (measuring 12.3-inch for the instrument display and 14.9-inch for the infotainment display), wireless charging, and HiFi sound system.

The Sport package adds on larger 22-inch wheels, Sport line trim, Laserlight, panoramic sunroof, crystal and wood interior applications, Harman Kardon sound system, and tyre pressure monitoring system.

In terms of advanced safety features, the BMW iX comes with Driving Assistant and Parking Assistant as standard. The Driving Assistant package includes Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Warning, Front Collision Warning with Brake Intervention (AEB), Crossing Traffic Warning Rear (RCTA), and Rear Collision Prevention.

Sport package upgrades them to Driving Assistant Professional and Parking Assistant Plus. The Driving Assistant Professional includes Steering and Lane Control Assistant, Emergency Stop Assistant, Automatic Speed Limit Assist, and Evasion Assistant. Parking Assistant Plus adds Surround View Camera.

The 2021 BMW iX xDrive40 is now available for pre-booking on the BMW Shop Online platform at a fee of RM 5,000. The more powerful xDrive50 will arrive later, registration of interest is open. Battery warranty is up to 8 years or 160,000 km, whichever comes first.
