Forget overnight parts from Japan, it's overnight delivery of the CKD Kia Carnival at Bukit Jalil this weekend

Fresh off completely selling out the CBU 2022 Kia Carnival here, Dinamikajaya Motors has done a Fast & Furious by overnighting the first 2 units of the new locally-assembled (CKD) 7 and 8-seater Carnival from Kulim, Kedah, to the WapCar Auto Show beginning today at Pavilion Bukit Jalil.

Judging from the opening day’s crowd, the MPV is proving to be a huge hit and will undoubtedly be one of the main attractions as the Auto Show carries on over the 1-3 July 2022 weekend.

It’s the first CKD Kia model sold by Dinamikjaya Motor, the new custodians of the Kia marque in Malaysia.

No surprises for guessing the primary difference between the CBU and CKD units are the revised seating configurations. The CKD units will be available with either a 7 or 8-seater configuration while the now sold out CBU one was an 11-seater.

Propulsion-wise, it’s all identical with a 2.2-litre turbodiesel delivering 202 PS and 441 Nm of torque with an 8-speed automatic channelling it to the wheels.
