The 2020 Mitsubishi Xpander is almost upon us, as the new people mover from Mitsubishi has been spotted in Malaysia yet again.
Seen in these set of photos is an Xpander finished in Red Metallic – a colour that is offered in Indonesia and Philippines, but not Thailand. Thanks to reader SY for these photos.
Earlier, a Jet Black Mica (could also be Graphite Grey Metallic) unit was spotted, confirming that we will be getting the facelifted model.
Last year, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) confirmed that the Xpander will be launched in Malaysia in 2020, but the plan got pushed back due to slow approvals by the then-government and the Covid-19 pandemic happened.
To recap, the Mitsubishi Xpander goes head-to-head against the Perodua Aruz/Toyota Rush and Honda BR-V when it is introduced later this year. Like its rivals, power is derived from a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine that does 105 PS and 141 Nm, mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.
