A Tesla Model Y caught fire in Puchong on the night of 16-October, as reported by the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department. The car, parked on Jalan Puchong Jaya, suddenly ignited.
Assistant Director (Operations) Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar of the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department shared details about the incident on Monday, October 17. He mentioned that an emergency call was received at 8:32 pm on Monday, prompting the deployment of seven personnel from the Puchong station.
βUpon arriving, the Fire Department found that (the incident) involved a Tesla that was 70 percent burnt and no one was injured,β he said, reports by Astro Awani. He also noted that the owner of the Tesla had parked the vehicle at the location and left briefly to obtain food.
The fire was successfully extinguished, but the cause of the fire remains unknown. Consequently, the case has been transferred to the forensic department for a thorough investigation.
