The 2023 Ford Ranger and Ranger Raptor add two awards to their list of accolades

It’s been an award-winning season for the new 2023 Ford Ranger and its variants. Recently, it’s added another two more to its list of accolades as Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia, received the CarPlus Editor’s Choice Award 2022-2023 for ‘Pick-up Truck of the Year’ for the Ranger and ‘Car of the Year’ for the Ranger Raptor.

The Ranger boasts an updated design with enhanced aerodynamics and improved interior comfort. It features a range of powerful, efficient engines with intuitive technologies and a comprehensive suite of best-in-class safety features.

In Malaysia, the Ranger line-up comprises nine variants, from the base workhorse XL Single Cab to the premium lifestyle WildTrak and the high-performance Ranger Raptor.

The Ranger Raptor is available with two highly tuned engines, a 3.0-litre twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 petrol powertrain making 397 PS and 583Nm torque or a 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel engine with 210 PS and 500 Nm of torque.

Pricing for the Ranger variants starts at RM 98,888 for the XL Single Cab and goes up to RM 142,888 for the XLT Plus. The Wildtrak goes for RM 169,688 while the Raptor diesel is RM 248,888 and the Raptor petrol is RM 259,888.

Nominations for the CarPlus Editor’s Choice Awards are derived from new models launched in Malaysia between July 2022 - July 2023 (last 12 months).
