Overview

The 2020 new Honda City brings the fight alongside the 2020 Nissan Almera and the Toyota Vios. With four well-specced variants (S, E, V and RS), the City also marks the world premiere of the 1.5-litre i-MMD petrol-electric hybrid engine found in the RS. Across the range, the petrol variants get a new 1.5-litre, DOHC, naturally-aspirated inline-four making 121 PS and 145 Nm. Features include rear air-conditioning vents on all variants, LED head and tail lights, Honda LaneWatch, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support and RS-exclusive Honda Sensing.

Exterior

It fits adults comfortably and it’s very spacious inside.

Boot

S, E and V variants get a 519-litre boot, while the RS gets a smaller one at 409-litres – the space is taken up by the high-voltage battery pack.

2010 Honda City 1.5 S
Pros

1.Huge legroom for rear passengers. 2.Reliable,no big problem after 190K km. 3.Maintenance is simple and straightforward 4.Tall last gear which makes highway cruising rather fuel-efficient, and quiet too 5.High resale value.

Cons

1.Used to suffer from a dead car battery, apparently is something to do with the starter motor. 2.The dashboard has a shiny plastic portion which blinds driver when driving at noontime. 3.Ride clearance is slightly lower among other cars, due to the mudguard.

2020 Honda City 1.5L V
Pros

1.Good head unit - Got Apple car play and Android Auto. Google map, Youtube music and Waze all seamlessly support. 2.Nice steering design, warp with leather, thick enough, nice to grip... 3.Fuel consumption is low. one tank around 550+km. (60% city drive + 40% highway drive)

Cons

1.Ugly speedometer - Compare to the others, the new city speedometer is very plain. like a Viva. 2.Cost down compare to last-gen - no auto fold side mirror, no adjustable rear seat headrest. 3.Ivory white interior - in 2 days I already make my ivory leather at the door handle dirty, therefore need to pay extra attention to that. 4.lane watch is good, but only at one side and this only provide passive notification for blindspot. 5.lack of new safety features compare to competitor
