Ahead of the 2020 Kia Seltos’ official debut in Malaysia, the B-segment SUV has been caught undisguised on a trailer.
The model was first previewed at a dealer-only event back in February, indicating that Kia wants to take on the Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-3, and the upcoming Proton X50.
During the preview, two variants of the Seltos were showcased: the regular and the GT Line. Separating the two variants are a dose of red highlights on the exterior, red stitching inside, unique leather seats, automatic climate control, a fully-digital instrument cluster and GT Line emblems.
Although Kia Malaysia has yet to reveal information about the Seltos, it appears that we will be receiving the made-in-India version, as indicated by its shorter front end. On the Indian-built Seltos, the bonnet shut line ends at where the grille meets, while the Korean-built Seltos’ front bonnet ends before the grille.
Initially slated for a March debut, it’s safe to say that Kia Malaysia will need to postpone the debut of the Seltos until the Movement Control Order (MCO) is lifted.
