2019 Honda CR-V 1.5 TC-P WapCar Ratings results, 170/250 score, great all-rounder

We’ve analysed the Honda CR-V 1.5 TC-P from driving performance to fuel consumption through our WapCar ratings. Here’s a quick overview and summary for all our tests.

The Honda CR-V 1.5 TC-P has good straight line performance and the suspension absorbs road imperfections well. However, it feels rather wooly in the corners and cabin noise is on the higher side.

The Honda CR-V 1.5 TC-P has everything a family guy needs in an SUV with the full suite of Honda Sensing features and great integration of Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Build and material quality is par for the course, not quite up there with the Mazda CX-5.

When it comes to interior space, the Honda CR-V is the undisputed champ. It has the most spacious interior among all its rivals, being able to fit 3 adults comfortably in the rear seats. The only minor niggle is the door bins don't extend across the door panels.

For an SUV of this size and weight, the Honda CR-V 1.5 TC-P is rather fuel efficient. Although we achieved 7-litre/100 km during our test, expect the figure to up to 9-litre/100 km in urban driving.

At RM 175,900, the Honda CR-V 1.5 TC-P offers all the features you'd need and its maintenance cost is relatively low, lower than the Nissan X-Trail. Roadtax per year is only RM 90 and it's fuel efficient when driven in right conditions.

Item Breakdown Points

Overall, the Honda CR-V is quick in a straight line, has the most spacious interior its class, well-equipped, and is easy on the fuel. As an all round package, few can top the Honda CR-V 1.5 TC-P.

Toyota's Kinto is getting bored, finds a way to make the AH30 Alphard and Vellfire sliding doors close faster

You know how some cars can be truly fantastic except for one minor detail that you just can’t overlook and it ends up ruining the entire driving experience. It could be a terrible head unit or a bad seating position. Well, some of the engineers at Toyota’s Kinto subscription service thought that could be the abysmally slow speed of the sliding doors on the previous AH30 generation of the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire. Either that or they must be getting really bored over there. Or someone has secr

Review: BYD Dolphin in Malaysia - A solid choice for EV beginners, except for one thing

You might be aware that Malaysia prohibits the import of electric vehicles (EVs) priced below RM 100,000, and this is indeed accurate. The rationale behind this policy, driven by the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI), is actually sound when you consider their goal of attracting investments in the EV sector. In the world of technology, most of the valuable stuff is in the higher-end product range. Cheaper electric cars have minimal technological sophistication; they're kind of li
