The 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class facelift was launched in Vietnam back in March with 2 variants, E200 and E300. Recently, the Mercedes-Benz Vietnam website was updated with the addition of the E180, priced at 2.05 billion Dong (RM 368k). All variants are locally assembled in Vietnam.
Powering the 2021 Mercedes-Benz E180 is a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine making 156 PS and 250 Nm of torque, mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission that drives the rear wheels. For comparison’s sake, the identically-sized engine in the Honda Civic Turbo makes 173 PS.
The front grille is unique to the E180 with a double-slat design and the 3-pointed star grille in the middle. And thankfully, it still has LED headlights.
Inside, there’s the dual-widescreen display measuring 12.3-inch each, leather seats with memory function, and 64-colour ambient lighting. Customers can also choose between 2 interior colour option which are black or brown.
In Malaysia, the 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class facelift was spotted on a trailer late last year. Plans to launch may have been affected given the current Covid-19 situation. However, we’re still expecting the E-Class facelift to arrive later this year.
