With the revised prices, prices for the Proton Saga now starts from PKR 1,925,000 (RM 50,696) all the way to PKR 2,175,000 (RM 57,280), a reduction of PKR 50,000 (RM 1,316) across the model range.
As for the Proton X70, prices now starts from PKR 4,590,000 (RM 120,880) and tops out at PKR 4,890,000 (RM 128,781). As such, that represents a reduction of PKR 100,000 (RM 2,633).
In Pakistan, the Proton Saga is powered by a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder engine (96 PS, 120 Nm). Bear in mind that the Pakistan-market engine is downsized from 1,332cc to 1,299cc to comply with the local taxation regulations.
Transmission wise, you can choose between a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic.
Meanwhile, the Proton X70 derives propulsion from a turbocharged 1.5-litre 3-cylinder engine (177 PS, 255 Nm) as opposed to the 1.8-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder unit (184 PS/300 Nm) sold in Malaysia. You guessed it right, the 1.5-litre unit is from the Proton X50.
