Nissan Ariya is the first production Nissan to feature new logo

By now you would have seen the world premiere of the Nissan Ariya. This is Nissan’s first all-electric crossover SUV. That said, I couldn't help but notice that Nissan also took this opportunity to show to the world its brand-spanking-new logo.There are two logos - corporate and brand. The brand logo looks unchanged at a glance, but details are different. 

In line with what appears to be the current trend with car brand logos, Nissan's new corporate insignia has gone all 2D and flat, while the brand logo has been tweaked slightly from the outgoing logo. Nissan has said that its new logo signifies the company's dedication to keep innovating for new generations of customers.

Nissan also added that its new logo looks to the future while staying proudly connected to the company’s rich heritage and tradition of innovation. The company name remains at the center of the logo, communicating an instantly recognizable brand that evokes past milestones and memories while also conveying evolution.

Moving forward this new logo will adorn coming Nissan models as they’re introduced or refreshed. For such a storied brand, I really hope this signals a new dawn for Nissan. It's good to see you back and fighting, Nissan.
