Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has teased the all-electric (EV) Mercedes-Benz EQA on its social media channels. The caption reads: “Electricity runs in its veins, where luxury sits at its heart. The new EQA, yours for the taking. Stay tuned.”
To recap, the Mercedes-Benz EQA is based on the Mercedes-Benz GLA with three variants available in European markets: EQA 250, EQA 300 4Matic, and EQA 350 4Matic.

The EQA 250 has a 190 PS/375 Nm electric propulsion system that drives the front wheels while the EQA 300 and EQA 350 come with all-wheel drive, with outputs of 228 PS/390 Nm and 292 PS/520 Nm.
All three variants get the same 66.5-kWh battery and supports 11 kW AC charging and 100 kW DC fast charging. As for driving range (WLTP cycle), the EQA 250 is rated at 420 km while the EQA 300 and EQA 350 have a range of 400 - 426 km and 409 - 432 km respectively.
It remains to be seen which variant(s) we’ll be getting, but the EQA 250 would be a safe bet.
