Proton Saga outsells Perodua Bezza and Proton Persona leads B-segment sedan market!

Proton has recorded 13,126 sales in July 2020, whi has been its highest number since June 2012. Thanks to the sales tax exemption and increase in consumer demand, Proton has benefited with an increase in sales.

Overall sales of Proton cars in July 2020 grew by 37.3% over June 2020 and increased by 45.7% compared to the July 2019.

The Proton Saga leads the A-segment sedan with 5,421 units sold in July 2020 alone. 1,100 units of the Saga Anniversary edition helped to boost Saga sales numbers in July., beating its direct competitor, the Perodua Bezza.

Proton’s latest model, the Proton X70, continued to be the best-selling SUV in Malaysia with a 4.3% increase in market share from July 2019. 3,087 units of the Proton X70 were sold in July 2020.

Malaysia’s B-segment sedan category is lead by the Proton Persona with 3,043 units sold in July. Proton’s MPV, the Proton Exora, saw 792 units sold, grabbing the top spot in the C-segment MPV market.
July 2020 has been a great month for Proton. In fact, it is the best sales numbers since 8 years ago.
