Lucky Thailand owners welcome the first 2023 Honda Civic Type R FL5 cars

Smiles were wide and aplenty as the first batch of owners took delivery of the 2023 Honda Civic Type R in Thailand.

“When I heard the news that Honda announced the opening of reservations for the Honda Civic Type R online, I was looking forward because I like this car which is a car that looks even more beautiful because the number of cars is limited. But when I know that I can reserve it, I was excited and happy. Personally, I would bring the Honda Civic Type R to drive during the weekend. It is considered a rare item that is worth owning and collecting. This time it is imported by Honda officially, and that creates a lot of confidence for customers,” said Kanit Sihasophon, a young captain who is passionate about motorsports.

His sentiments were echoed by another new owner, Khun Sukrit Nantasorn, a true fan of the Honda Civic Type R, “I grew up with Honda and trust in the Honda brand. I already own a Honda Civic Type R FD2R and enjoy experiencing the performance of driving. When Honda announced the opening of reservations for the Honda Civic Type R FL5 online, I decided to reserve it and was very happy to own it because it was bought directly from Honda. I’m assured there is a warranty and can take the car to the service centre.”

Among the owners was Khun Worawut Bhirombhakdi, a veteran in the motorsport industry, “When I started driving with the Singha Motorsport team, they used the Honda Civic Type R and it’s still in used by the team. Therefore, I feel attached to the Honda brand and nowadays there are rarely racing cars with manual transmissions, but the Honda Civic Type R has one.”

Passion for the coveted red ‘H’ emblem was synonymous among the owner. Reciprocating his love for the model was Khun Chanon Juthanopparat, a young executive, “I love cars and speed. Personally, I've liked the Honda Civic Type R since I was a kid. It was an EK9 model at the time. This time I got the right to own a Honda Civic Type R. I was happy to be the owner of this car that was sold by the Honda brand.”
