Honda’s 3S Centre in Perak is Malaysia’s first Gold-Rated Green Building Index car showroom

Honda Malaysia’s newest 3S Centre in Perak has been rated ‘Gold’ under the Green Building Index (GBI), making it the first car showroom in the country to be awarded with such certification. The GBI is a green rating tool for buildings that is recognised by the industry in Malaysia, aimed at raising awareness on environmental issues and promoting sustainability in the built environment.

Operated by Ban Hoe Seng (Auto), the new 3S centre is the result of a RM15 million investment. Sixty percent of the facility’s lighting is by natural sunlight and rain water is harvested for the facility’s landscape use and toilet flushes. LED lighting with motion sensors are also deployed.

The new facility was built on a 2-acre land. The service centre has 19 bays, comprising 14 General Service Bays, 4 General Repair Bays and 1 Tyre Alignment Bay that are able to accommodate up to 60 cars per day. Meanwhile, the showroom area has a customer lounge, complimentary Wi-Fi services, Kid’s Corner, free flow food and beverages as well as Muslim Prayer Room.
