Old vs New: New 2021 Nissan Navara (D23) Pro-4X now has the looks to match a Ranger

The 2021 Nissan Navara (D23) finally gets a facelift after 6 years on the market! You’ve seen the preview of the 2021 Nissan Navara Pro-4X so you know the specs, now here’s a side-by-side photo comparison of the outgoing range-topping VL model versus the updated pick-up.

Exterior

Although this is just a facelift, Nissan designers seem to have redesigned the pick-up from the ground up. The updated truck bears almost no resemblance to the outgoing model. Instead, the new truck looks more like a scaled down version of the US-market Nissan Titan

The most obvious change is the grille. The Navara now gets a very much more aggressive front grille that features Nissan’s new interlock design finished in matte black. Nissan also paired the grille with chunky black strips to complete the overall rugged look.

In case you missed the new black-red Nissan emblem on the grille, designers made sure you won’t miss the Navara lettering stamped across the top of the grille.

The Navara Pro-4X gets new Quad-LED Projector headlights with the company’s new signature C-shape DRLs.

From the rear, designers have managed to make the overall look even more squarish than before. Gone is the signature Nissan V-pattern shoulder line and in its place is the Navara logo emblazoned into the metal.

It also gets the addition of the useful integrated rear bumper step. Other than that, the rear also gets adorned with a new tail lamp design paired with the C-shaped LED Signature.

The Pro-4X’s tyre has shrunk in size compared to the outgoing model. Previously, the Navara rides on 18-inch wheels, but the Pro-4X’s new black painted wheels are 17-inch and wears all-terrain tyres.

Interior

Not many changes were made on the inside of the new Navara. The pick-up maintains the very comfortable zero-gravity front seats while the trim materials remained the same as the pre-facelift.

But the most notable difference is the new Nissan family steering wheel as seen in the Nissan X-Trail facelift and the all-new Nissan Almera.

Other than that, the busy centre dash remains the same though the infotainment touchscreen has been upgraded to an 8-inch unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

Over to the rear seats, Nissan claims that they have made sure the new rear-seats compliments the front Zero-Gravity seats in comfort. The rear seats have been redesigned to feature a curved backrest and it also gets new cushions with thigh support.

Edaran Tan Chong Motors (ETCM), the official distributor of Nissan cars in Malaysia, previewed the new 2021 Nissan Navara Pro-4X facelift today. The official launch is slated on 16 April 2021, watch this space for the official price!

So, do you prefer the appearance of the facelifted Navara over its predecessor?

Toyota's Kinto is getting bored, finds a way to make the AH30 Alphard and Vellfire sliding doors close faster

You know how some cars can be truly fantastic except for one minor detail that you just can’t overlook and it ends up ruining the entire driving experience. It could be a terrible head unit or a bad seating position. Well, some of the engineers at Toyota’s Kinto subscription service thought that could be the abysmally slow speed of the sliding doors on the previous AH30 generation of the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire. Either that or they must be getting really bored over there. Or someone has secr
