Like it or not, the electric revolution has already begun, causing enthusiasts to bemoan the potential loss of noise and drama. "Not on my watch," says Hyundai as they hint performance, full-fat N variants of their burgeoning zero-emissions line-up.
Speaking on the sidelines at yesterday's 2021 Hyundai Kona N world debut, Executive Chief Marketing Officer of Hyundai Motor Company, Thomas Schemera, shared that 'sustainable driving fun' is next on the company's agenda.

Schemera says that the technology used in their current electric racing car - notably the Hyundai RM20e prototype - serves as a solid basis for future N models.
That's a good indicator, given that the RM20e produces 810 PS and 960 Nm from its single rear-mounted motor.
The video also hints at a variety of electrified powertrains for their future performance models, including hydrogen fuel cells, battery electric, or a "combination of both".
That's not all - Schemera shares that company is also developing the "first fully electrified N model", sitting on the company's Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).
