Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. has announced that it will suspend operations at one of its plants for a couple of days next month, citing an expected parts shortage.
The affected facility is the company's second plant in Shiga (Ryuo), and it will be closed for two days, on 12-July and 19-July 2021. Other factories are unaffected.
The plant manufactures the Perodua Ativa's Japanese cousins, the Daihatsu Rocky and Toyota Raize. Other than that, it also assembles the Daihatsu Tanto, Chiffon, and Move Canbus.
