Faster than the Urus, meet the 640 PS, 850 Nm Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT

7 minutes and 38.9 seconds, that's how fast this new Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT laps the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Porsche's latest addition to the Cayenne family doesn't hang about. Armed with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine (640 PS, 850 Nm) and paired to a faster-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission, it's easy to see why. 

Available only in Coupe form, the Cayenne Turbo GT is not just about bare performance figures, as its Nürburgring laptime will attest to, which is faster than the Lamborhini Urus (around 7 minutes 47 seconds). Chassis improvements were made as well. For starters, the Cayenne Turbo GT rides up to 17 millimetres lower compared to its regular Turbo sibling. 

Rigidity of the three-chamber air suspension has been increased by up to 15 per cent, and the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) dampers are revised, together with the rear-axle steering to improve agility. 

Porsche Torque Vectoring system helps put all the power down on the road. Brand new 22-inch Pirelli P Zero Corsa performance tyres -specially developed for the Turbo GT - feature here. Braking duties are performed by the standard-fit Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system.

Being the range-topper, the Cayenne Turbo GT bespoke carbon appointments on the outside (there is a lot of carbon).  Inside, the Turbo GT is slathered in Alcantara, and feature the latest Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system.
