New 2020 Honda CR-V facelift launched in Thailand, now with panoramic sunroof

Honda Automobile Thailand has just introduced the updated 2020 Honda CR-V at the 2020 Bangkok International Motor Show. It also marks the debut of the facelifted model in this region.

Visually, the updated Honda CR-V gains a restyled exterior, including new front and rear bumpers and alloy wheels. Honda has also updated the headlights and tail lights with a new Smoke Chrome finishing.

Honda has also added Cosmic Blue Metallic, as the new exterior colour to the updated CR-V. It joins Modern Steel Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, and Crystal Black Pearl as the available colours on the new CR-V.

Inside, the new CR-V gains a new panoramic sunroof, Qi wireless charging pad, and memory function for the driver seat. It also gains a new auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Unlike our Malaysian-market CR-V, the Thai-market CR-V is available as a 5- or 7-seater.

Furthermore, the Honda Sensing ADAS suite will be made available on the Thai market CR-V, though the feature will be limited to the range-topping DT EL 4WD variant. Recall that Thailand market CR-V models didn't have Sensing until now, unlike Malaysia.

Recall that the Thai-market Honda CR-V does not get the 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine like Malaysia. Instead, it gets two carried-over powertrains in Thailand – a 2.4-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine (173 PS, 224 Nm) mated to a CVT-type automatic and a 1.6-litre turbodiesel (160 PS, 350 Nm) hooked up to a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Prices start from THB 1,369,000 for the CR-V 2.4 S variant, topping out at THB 1,759,000 for the DT EL variant.
