2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB facelift - New looks, up to 292 PS/520 Nm, 536 km

Alongside the 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQA facelift, the Mercedes-Benz EQB also received an update for 2024. Changes to the EQB largely mirrors the EQA, with revised exterior and interior.

Like the EQA facelift, there’s a redesigned black panel featuring a star pattern. The small Mercedes-Benz stars on the grille are now black as the default option with the Progressive package or with the Night Package.

Alternatively, with the Electric Art or AMG Line styling packages, they’re finished in chrome. There’s also a revised bumper with gloss black trims

The EQB 250+ variant starts off the lineup, which comes equipped with a front-mounted electric motor producing 190 PS and 385 Nm. Power is supplied by a 70.5 kWh lithium-ion battery; AC charging is up to 11 kW and DC fast charging goes up to 100 kW (for all variants).

The EQB 300 introduces a rear electric motor for all-wheel drive and delivering a total system output of 228 PS and 390 Nm. The EQB 350 bumps the output to 292 PS and 520 Nm.

Ironically, the 4Matic variants get a smaller 66.5 kWh battery with a WLTP-rated range of up to 448 km. Meanwhile, the EQB 250+ is rated at up to 536 km, aided by aerodynamic revisions including and low rolling resistance tyres.

Inside, the new EQB get the latest-generation steering wheel from the brand with haptic buttons. There's a new brown lime open-pore wood trim and dashboard trim adorned with the Mercedes-Benz star pattern.

All EQB models now feature a 10.25-inch central touchscreen that's connected to an updated version of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) with improved voice control.

Drivers will now have the advantage of a new range maximisation function in the MBUX system, providing recommendations to optimize range. The updated EQB also gets Sound Experiences: Silver Waves, Vivid Flux, Roaring Pulse, and Serene Breeze.

Wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay has been integrated for smartphones. The optional Burmester surround sound system now offers the immersive Dolby Atmos audio experience.

For the five-seat configuration, the boot capacity remains within the range of 495 to 1,710 litres, while the seven-seat option provides a storage capacity of 465 to 1,620 litres.

In terms of driver assistance, the sensor suite has been expanded to include a new mono-multipurpose camera and a reverse camera. The Driving Assistance package has been upgraded with improved functionality, such as Active Lane Keeping Assist, which now intervenes through steering rather than ESP.
