Subsidi akan dirombak, RON95 & diesel di M'sia pada 2023 dijangka ikut harga pasaran global

Pengguna jalan raya di Malaysia pada tahun 2023 nampaknya perlu bayar lebih untuk petrol RON95 dan diesel kerana kerajaan dijangka menggugurkan sistem subsidi sedia ada. Disebabkan itu, petrol RON95 dan diesel mungkin akan ikut harga minyak mentah global.

Pada masa yang sama, Maybank Investment Bank (Maybank IB) dalam satu kenyataan memberitahu bahawa tahun 2023 akan ada kenaikan mendadak buat harga petrol RON95 dan diesel.

Buat masa sekarang, Kementerian Kewangan sudahpun menguji mekanisme subsidi bersasar. Cubaan ini telahpun bermula pada Julai lalu dan ia dijangka beransur dalam tempoh 6 bulan.

Menurut jangkaan Maybank IB, dalam pembentangan Bajet 2023 pada 7 Oktober 2022 nanti akan ada satu kemaskini.

Berdasarkan laporan dari Berita Harian, Maybank IB meramalkan bahawa kadar inflasi 2022 akan jatuh kepada 3.3% berbanding 3.4% yang dinyatakan sebelum ini.  Kadar inflasi untuk 2023 pula dijangka turun kepada 4% berbanding ramalan 4.1% yang dibuat sebelum ini.

Penjelasannya adalah analisis ini mengambil kira kesan rasionalisasi buat subsidi harga yang telah diumumkan dan ia telahpun dijangka untuk dilaksanakan oleh kerajaan.

Untuk makluman anda, Menteri Kewangan Tengku Zafrul ada memberitahu di Twitter beliau bahawa Malaysia sebenarnya antara negara yang mengalami kadar inflasi terendah di dunia. Perkara ini sebahagiannya disebabkan oleh subsidi tinggi yang mana ia mungkin mencecah RM 80 bilion dalam masa terdekat.

Setakat Ogos, kerajaan telah memperuntukkan RM 77.7 bilion subsidi dan subsidi bahan api sahaja merangkumi RM 41.7 bilion.

Kalau anda nak tahu, tanpa subsidi, Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) mendapati bahawa kadar inflasi Malaysia mungkin cecah 12%.
