Pengangkutan awam di Jakarta dinilai 30 tahun lewat berbanding negara lain - Presiden Jokowi

Presiden Joko Widodo menilai bahawa beberapa bandar di Indonesia mengalami kelewatan dalam pembangunan pengangkutan awam, baik untuk penumpang mahupun barangan. Inilah yang membuatkan penduduk bandar memilih untuk menggunakan kenderaan persendirian, menyebabkan kesesakan.

"Di Jakarta, sudah 30 tahun lewat (dalam pembinaan pengangkutan awam)," kata Presiden yang dikenali sebagai Jokowi semasa perasmian operasi Depot Keretapi Maros, Sulawesi Selatan.

Tambahan pula, Jokowi juga menyatakan, selain Jakarta, kelewatan dalam pembangunan pengangkutan awam berlaku di beberapa bandar lain, seperti Bandung, Medan, Surabaya, Semarang, hinggalah Makassar. Akibatnya, semua jalan menghadapi titik kesesakan.

Jokowi tidak menafikan bahawa di kawasan Jakarta dan kawasan sekitarnya, terdapat pengangkutan awam seperti MRT dan perancangan untuk LRT. Tetapi ini tidak mencukupi untuk mengurangkan kesesakan.

"Jadi, tuan-tuan dan puan-puan, jika di Jakarta pagi tersekat, petang tersekat, petang tersekat, malam tersekat sekarang, adalah kerana kelewatan membinanya," katanya.

Seperti yang diketahui, sebagai tambahan kepada KRL, MRT dan LRT yang hanya akan beroperasi pada bulan Julai 2023, di Jakarta sendiri pengangkutan awam yang digunakan secara meluas oleh orang ramai adalah TransJakarta.

Menurut laman trafik TomTom, Jakarta menduduki tempat ke-29 bandar paling sesak di dunia. Hal ini kerana berdasarkan tinjauan, pemandu di Jakarta mengambil masa 22 minit 40 saat untuk jarak 10 km sahaja!

Ini merupakan peningkatan sebanyak 2 minit 50 saat berbanding tahun 2021. Secara purata, pemandu di Jakarta hanya mampu memandu maksimum hanya 22 km sejam.

Kesesakan lalu lintas di Jakarta akan menjadi lebih teruk, jika ia berlaku pada waktu puncak, seperti pergi dan dari kerja. Apatah lagi, jika cuaca hujan, maka selepas itu jalan menjadi dinaiki air dan kesesakan lalu lintas berlaku di mana-mana. - Autofun.id
