Honda City Hatchback outsold Toyota Yaris in Indonesia in April 3x over!

The Honda City Hatchback is only on sale in Indonesia for a little over 2 months but it has managed to overtake the Toyota Yaris to become Indonesia’s best-selling B-segment hatchback in April 2021.

It is surprising that the Yaris slipped two spots in the rankings in April. The month before, the Yaris was Indonesia’s best-selling B-segment hatchback with 1,020 units sold.

One thing that remained unchanged in both months is the Mazda 2 lagging behind in terms of sales with double-digit sales in both months. Perhaps it might be the model’s age with a facelift only launched in the archipelago in 2019.

With the City Hatchback receiving very good reception in both Indonesia and Thailand, perhaps it won’t be surprising if the same is seen in Malaysia. After all, it is one of the year’s most anticipated models in Malaysia.
