All-new 2020 Honda City: Singapore debut soon, 2 variants, 1.5L DOHC

Kah Motor, the official distributor of Honda vehicles in Singapore will be introducing the all-new 2020 Honda City soon. Two variants will be offered: 1.5 SV and 1.5 RS.

Visually, both variants mirror their Thai counterpart, including the red-hot City RS. Like the Thai-market City RS, the Singapore model also gets the gloss black front grille and sporty-looking 16-inch alloy wheels.

While the exterior design mirrors the Thai-spec car, the same cannot be said for its powertrain, as the Singaporean City is powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder DOHC petrol engine that does 121 PS at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm at 4,300 rpm. The engine is mated to a CVT-type automatic transmission. This powertrain combination is similar to the India-spec City.

Equipment-wise, the Singapore-spec car gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Remote Engine Start, cruise control, and rear air-conditioning vents – the latter isn’t available on the Thailand City.

The model is priced from SGD 91,999 for the City 1.5 SV, while the range-topping 1.5 RS costs SGD 95,999.
