Video: Chinese skit shows why the Geely Boyue/ Proton X70 is the perfect car for married men

While Geely is busy celebrating the launch of the all-new 2022 Geely Boyue L based on the CMA platform in China, this old video of the old generation has resurfaced to tickle the funny bone of social media users.

The video starts with a customer showing interest in the Boyue on display. When a salesperson approached him to tell him all about the Boyue’s features, the customer mentioned that while the features are great, he’s a married man.

Hearing this, the salesperson tried selling him a bigger family car instead, however, the customer cut him off saying that the salesperson doesn’t know what a married man wants.

At this time, another salesperson steps in and introduces a woman who started berating the customer like a jealous wife. The woman then gets out of the car and continued berating the customer, however, he could hear nothing while sitting in the car.

Then the skit proceeded to show the woman throwing the customer into the boot while telling him not to come home. The customer was seen stretching out in the boot area like he was sleeping on a bed.

The woman then started kicking and basically just abusing the Boyue and the customer quickly checked on the car to find that the SUV remains intact. The skit ends with the customer purchasing the car much to the amazement of the first salesperson.

Closer to home, the Geely Boyue is sold as the Proton X70 here in Malaysia. We can attest that the X70 also has the same level of quietness and comfort as the Boyue. If you look closer, the Boyue in the video is a special edition that also features the X70’s Infinite Weave grille.

Proton only recently updated the X70 in our country to feature a new 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine similar to its smaller Proton X50 sibling. While it has lost one cylinder, the SUV is still as comfortable as ever.
