No more teasers - Smart #1 launched in Malaysia, from RM 189k, up to 428 PS/543 Nm, 440 km

Following numerous teasers and previews, the Smart #1 is finally launched in Malaysia. This electric SUV, imported from China (CBU), offers three variants:

  • Smart #1 Pro - RM 189,000
  • Smart #1 Premium - RM 219,000
  • Smart #1 Brabus - RM 249,000

*prices are on-the-road, without insurance

The entry-level Smart #1 Pro comes with a smaller 49 kWh LFP battery, offering a WLTP-rated range of 315 km, powering a rear-mounted (RWD) single electric motor delivering 272 PS and 343 Nm.

The Premium variant uses the same motor but is paired with a 66 kWh NMC battery, allowing a WLTP-rated range of 440 km.

Meanwhile, the Brabus variant takes pride in its impressive 0-100 km/h time of 3.9 seconds, thanks to its 428 PS543 Nm dual electric motors (all-wheel drive). Although it shares the same 66 kWh Li-Ion battery as the Premium variant, its range is slightly shorter at 400 km per WLTP.

All variants accept a maximum DC charging rate of 150 kW, but as for AC charging, the Premium and Brabus variants support 22 kW, while the Pro variant goes up to 7.2 kW.

In terms of features, Smart #1 Pro variant includes:

  • Leatherette seats without a ventilated seat function
  • 5-speaker audio system
  • 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity
  • 9.2-inch digital instrument cluster
  • Panoramic roof
  • Wireless charger
  • Chiller box in the armrest

The Smart #1 Premium adds:

  • Matrix LED headlights
  • Sequential turn signals
  • Illuminated front grille, door handles, and logos on the C-pillars
  • Kick sensor for the power tailgate
  • Powered front seats with ventilation and memory function
  • Dual-zone auto air-conditioning with rear vents
  • N95 air-conditioning filter
  • 13-speaker 640-watt Beats sound system
  • 10-inch colour head-up display (HUD)

The Brabus variant mirrors the Premium variant in terms of equipment, but adds visual elements such as:

  • 'Nostrils' on the front grille above the light bar
  • Aggressive front bumper
  • Longer rear spoiler
  • 19-inch 'Dynamo' wheels with red brake calipers

The cabin showcases a grey/red color combination with red seatbelts, 'B' embossed headrests, red stitching, microfiber seat upholstery, and an Alcantara/leather-wrapped steering wheel.

All variants come equipped with adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, rear collision mitigation support, lane-keeping assist, lane change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. However, the Pro variant lacks fully autonomous parking, parking emergency brake, and autonomous parking assist.

There are a total 10 colour combinations available, including Future Green, Quantum Blue, Digital White, Cyber Silver, Lumen Yellow, Laser Red, Atom Grey – Matte (Atom Roof), Atom Grey – Matte (Red Roof), Cyber Silver (Red Roof), and Meta Black (Red Roof).

Additionally, there are three variant specific interior styles, the 'After Dark' trim for Smart #1 Pro, the two-tone white and black 'Dark Matter' trim for Smart #1 Premium, and the 'Brabus' trim for the...  well, Brabus.

The Smart #1 comes with an 8-year/200,000 km warranty for the high-voltage battery, 8-year/150,000 km warranty for the high-voltage components, a 4-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty, a 2-year unlimited mileage spare parts warranty, and 24/7 roadside service assistance.

Customers will receive a complimentary accessories package worth RM 2,000 and a 5-year Internet data plan of 60GB. To celebrate the launch of the brand, Smart Malaysia is offering a complimentary smartCharge Home Charger valued at RM 3,200 (excluding installation costs, which start from RM 2,488), this offer is valid until end of this year.
