At the Smart #1 launch event, Pro-Net, the official distributor for Smart vehicles in Malaysia and Thailand and a subsidiary of Proton, disclosed that they have already received over 500 bookings at the time of launch.
The Smart #1, which opened its bookings on 19-September, is available in three variants: the base #1 Pro, the Premium, and the top-tier Brabus. The Brabus variant has emerged as the favourite among Smart customers, constituting 60 percent of the total orders received.

The entry-level Smart #1 Pro features a smaller 49 kWh LFP battery, providing a WLTP-rated range of 315 km. Its power comes from a rear-mounted (RWD) single electric motor generating 272 PS and 343 Nm.
Moving up to the Premium variant, it shares the same motor but is paired with a larger 66 kWh NMC battery, offering an extended WLTP-rated range of 440 km.
The performance-oriented Brabus variant boasts an acceleration time of 3.9 seconds from 0-100 km/h, attributed to its 428 PS / 543 Nm dual electric motors (all-wheel drive). While it shares the same 66 kWh Li-Ion battery as the Premium variant, its range is slightly reduced to 400 km per WLTP.
All three variants support a maximum DC charging rate of 150 kW. However, when it comes to AC charging, the Premium and Brabus variants stand out with a capacity of 22 kW, while the Pro variant goes up to 7.2 kW.
