Toyota Prius C (Aqua) serba baharu diintip di Jepun, hibrid kegemaran ramai kini kembali?

Toyota Prius C, atau dikenali sebagai Toyota Aqua telah diintip di Jepun. Model generasi baharu Toyota Prius C ini dijangka akan debut global pada pertengahan Julai, kurang dari sebulan lagi.

Seperti model Toyota Yaris pasaran Jepun / Eropah, Toyota Prius C baharu ini akan dibangunkan di atas platform TNGA-B. Creative311 melaporkan bahawa Prius C baharu ini akan menggunakan brek parkir jenis kaki (foot brake), dan bukannya brek parkir elektrik yang mempunyai ciri moden seperti auto brake hold.

Tidak sempurna rasanya apabila Prius C tidak dilengkapi dengan hibird. Walaupun belum dapat disahkan, rujukan mendapati bahawa model Toyota Yaris global mempunyai enjin hibrid 3-silinder 1.5 liter kitaran Atkinson dan motor elektrik dengan padanan CVT dan motor elektrik. Output kuasa digabungkan adalah pada 116 PS kuasa kuda. Adakah Prius C ini akan menggunakan trenkuasa yang sama?

Apabila dilancarkan di Jepun kelak, Toyota Prius C baru akan bersaing dengan Honda Jazz e: HEV dan juga Nissan Note Aura.
