Post-SST, updated 2022 prices of Proton models - 1 to 5% up on average, X70 up by RM 7k

As the SST exempt period for CKD and CBU drew to a close on 30th June 2022, most car buyers are probably wondering, how much more does my favourite model cost now? 

Well, if you are looking for a Proton, these are the updated post-SST prices of their model range. Note that at the time of writing - only prices of the Saga, X70 and Exora have been released. 

Prices of the Iriz, Persona and X50 are expected to follow shortly and will be updated accordingly.

In the case of Saga, the resumption of SST has had minimal impact, depending on the variant, prices are up by approximately RM 500.

The 7-seater Exora MPV has increased between 3 - 4 percent, with increments of RM 2,000 and RM 2,500 for the Executive and Premium variants respectively.

However, Proton's first SUV, the X70, has gone up between 5 - 6 percent. This has amounted to RM 7k more in the range-topping 1.8L TGDi Premium, bumping its price closer to the RM 130k price bracket now.
