Tell me about the MG4

Similar to the BYD Dolphin, the MG4 is a compact hatchback that’s about the size of a B-segment Honda City Hatchback, yet has a wheelbase comparable to the C-segment Corolla Altis.

The Standard variant supports a maximum of 7 kW of AC charging (single-phase), complemented by DC fast charging capabilities of up to 150 kW.

The upper three options - Lux, Extended Lux, and XPower variants - can all accommodate up to 11 kW of AC charging (three-phase), alongside the same 150 kW DC fast charging capability.

Here's a quick overview on the MG4:

  • MG4 Standard: Equipped with a 51.5 kWh battery, delivering 170 PS, and offering a WLTP-rated range of 350 km. Price starts from RM 103,999.
  • MG4 Lux: Featuring a 64.6 kWh battery, delivering 203 PS, and offering a WLTP-rated range of 430 km. Price starts from RM 128,999.
  • MG4 Extended Lux: With a 77.7 kWh battery, delivering 245 PS, and offering a WLTP-rated range of 520 km. Price starts from RM 148,999.
  • MG4 XPower all-wheel drive: Powered by a 64.6 kWh battery, delivering 435 PS, and offering a WLTP-rated range of 384 km. Price starts from RM 158,999.

What about the MG ZS EV?

The MG ZS is a B-segment SUV that about the size of a Honda HR-V, which has become the best-selling model for the brand in markets outside of China.

The MG ZS EV arrived in Malaysia in its latest facelifted version, fully imported (CBU) from China. It is offered in a sole Standard Range variant, priced at RM 125,999.

It comes with a 51.1 kWh battery, providing a WLTP rated range of up to 320 km. Its front-mounted motor produces 176 PS/280 Nm. In terms of charging capabilities, the onboard charger supports up to 7 kW AC charging, while DC charging reaches up to 50 kW.

Both the MG4 and MG ZS EV come with a comprehensive 7-year/150,000 km warranty for the vehicle and an 8-year/180,000 km warranty for the battery.
