SAIC Motor Malaysia today officially launched the 2024 MG ZS EV, arriving in its latest facelifted version, fully imported (CBU) from China. The MG ZS EV is offered in a sole Standard Range variant, priced at RM 125,999. Note the stated price excludes registration, HP endorsement, insurance and other miscellaneous charges.
The MG ZS EV is also launched alongside the MG 4 hatchback, which is available in 4 variants priced from RM 103,999.

The updated MG ZS EV showcases a revamped front end, eliminating the traditional grille in favour of positioning the charging port on the right side of the logo.
The front fascia also features a trapezoidal air intake, split into two parts, and complemented by sleek vertical corner air inlets. The vehicle's rear also sports a split design at the bottom edge.

Lighting features include LED headlights with arrow-shaped daytime running lights and matching taillight graphics. The car rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with propeller-style aero covers.
For the Malaysian market, the MG ZS EV comes as the Standard Range version, boasting a 51.1 kWh battery capable of a WLTP-rated range of up to 320 km. There are also 3 selectable regenerative braking modes.

It features a front-mounted motor delivering a powerful 176 PS and 280 Nm.
The vehicle supports up to 7 kW AC charging and up to 50 kW DC fast charging for its onboard charger.

The interior is equipped with a 7-inch digital instrument display and a 10.25-inch central touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is also a 4-speaker audio setup.

The MG ZS EV is backed by a comprehensive 7-year/150,000 km warranty (whichever comes first) for the vehicle and an 8-year/180,000 km warranty for the battery.
For buyers who register their MG before 30-April 2024, they will receive the following early bird packages:
- Free 7kW Wallbox Charger (with installation) worth RM 4,600 for MG ZS EV and MG4 Standard buyers.
- Free 11 kW Wallbox Charger (with installation) worth RM 5,200 for MG4 Lux buyers.

Alongside, SAIC Motor Malaysia will also be offering their new MG Insurance Program (MIP) in partnership with Berjaya Sompo, Allianz and Generali Malaysia. The insurance package offers:
- Unlimited towing cost coverage to the nearest charging point
- Coverage up to RM 10,000 for theft or (external factor) damage for the Home Wallbox charger
