COE motosikal di S'pura terus 'menjulang' dan cecah RM 42k, sijil lagi mahal dari model termurah!

Sebagai negara kepulauan yang mempunyai jaringan jalan raya terhad, Singapura meletakkan syarat ketat untuk rakyatnya memiliki kenderaan peribadi dan tidak terkecuali, kenderaan 'marhaen' iaitu motosikal.

Antara syarat itu, selain harga kenderaan yang 'tak masuk akal' adalah untuk memiliki sesebuah kenderaan di Singapura, individu itu perlu mendapatkan Sijil Premium Hak Memiliki Kenderaan (COE).

Dan perkembangan terbaharu, harga yang dikenakan untuk mendapatkan COE motosikal baharu di negara itu kini adalah berjumlah 12,801 dolar Singapura (RM 42,882), angka yang direkodkan pada bulan ini. 

Ini bermakna harga untuk mendapatkan COE di Singapura ketika ini jauh lebih mahal daripada harga baharu beberapa model motosikal 'marhaen' terutama kapcai.

Dan angka RM 42k itu, menurut Penguasa Pengangkutan Darat adalah COE motosikal untuk tempoh 10 tahun, memetik sumber berita antarabangsa dan angka yang direkodkan itu adalah peningkatan sekitar 200 peratus sejak empat tahun lalu.

Sebagai info, Singapura mengawal pengeluaran COE untuk mengurangkan bilangan motosikal dan kereta di jalan rayanya. Setakat September lalu, bilangan motosikal di negara itu terhad kepada kira-kira 142,000 unit di jalanan selain 650,000 kereta secara keseluruhan.

Apa yang pasti, lonjakan harga COE turut memberi kesan dan menurut Pensyarah sains politik di Universiti Pengurusan Singapura, Nathan Peng, situasi itu akan menjejaskan sektor pekerja penghantaran yang menggunakan motosikal murah di negara itu.
