New 2020 Perodua Bezza has 4 variants, G/X/AV - which to pick?

Perodua has given their only sedan a facelift. The 2020 Perodua Bezza is now sleeker with new modern touches but major changes have been made in terms of variants. So, what do you get in the various variants on offer? Here’s a quick guide.

As you know, the Bezza is now pricier than before and has gained 2 new colour schemes; Garnet Red (1.3-litre variants only) and Granite Grey.

But Perodua has also done away with 2 variants; namely the Bezza 1.0 GXtra (both manual and auto) and 1.3 Premium X manual.

The Bezza 1.0 GXtra is replaced by the 1.0 G, available in both automatic and manual transmissions. The move is probably to streamline the variants across the brand’s models, as demand for manual transmission cars is on the decline.

With this new update, the Bezza has definitely up the ante for the A-segment sedan market. Especially the 1.3 AV, which is now the cheapest sedan to come with autonomous emergency braking (AEB), or as Perodua calls it A.S.A 2.0.

If value for money is what you’re looking for then the Bezza 1.3X is the variant for you. As the car still comes with all the important safety features that you need like VSC, Traction Control, and even Brake Asist (BA). 

The only features the 1.3X misses out are the new A.S.A 2.0 and reverse camera, the latter is not really a big deal on a car this small.

Other than that, the 1.3X also comes with the all-important Bluetooth connection. So, unless you insist on having A.S.A. 2.0, Smart Link and reverse camera, then you will have to fork out a cool RM 6,000 more for the 1.3 AV.
