The #sucktastic4 a group formed from the dregs of the #remoans and the #spitegirls attempt to rejoice at the news that Nissan backs UK.. #nissansunderland #MSM #sucktastic4 https://t.co/6FAQgtGkKl
This fact is certainly not being reported by our MSM. How about a bit more balanced reporting by SKY and BBC. All the news today is about Nissan NOT building a vehicle in the U.K. which is no longer viable worldwide. This has not cost ANY JOBS !! https://t.co/eFN5qA9Rel
Can I give another..(see pic below)... to the Labour Party, the Unions, BBC, MSM and all the rest of the gloom mongers with the news the Nissan have said their Sunderland car plant will be the mainstay of their European production for the foreseeable future 👇 https://t.co/e6ZosHkkY2
Why is there a “but” on this ? Nissan shuts its Spanish plant to move production to Sunderland, despite Brexit. We were told by MSM that Nissan would shut this plant, post Brexit..... Funny how MSM hasn’t covered this story, imagine if the opposite had happened ?? Uproar..... https://t.co/BgZpZy0jab
Imagine if Nissan in Sunderland had announced redundancies 🤔 the msm would be pushing Brexit disaster stories left, right and centre. Seems good news just ain't newsworthy these days. #Nissan #Sunderland 🇬🇧 https://t.co/P5WUP6JGhq
I SEE THE MSM is continuing to spew its unrelenting negative news about our economy. They fail to mention Nissan is going to make the UK its European Headquarters or that JCB is investing £110 million pound in its X series model in the UK. STAND UP FOR THE UK FOR ONCE https://t.co/mYk7cThJj6
I see not much mention on MSM regarding Nissan? Strange that !
Imagine the twitter storm tonight if this had gone the other way. It would have been of biblical proportions. For some reason it’s not getting much traction on the MSM either. Ho hum.
Unilever comes to the UK. EU won't like this. A very large company of repute chooses the UK over Rotterdam. Will MSM cover this or like Nissan will it get relegated to the back pages? UK a great destination - Brexit an enabler. https://t.co/CrJyJzBeXT via @financialtimes
Why are @BBCNews describing rioting and looting as ‘protests’ 😴
Q: What happens if a "tank man" stands in front of a U.S. Army tank and blocks it? This question is inspired by the Tank Man of China (June 5, 1989). A: As even Western MSM coverage showed, the so-called “Tank Man of China” was ,not, run over by the tank he blocked in Beijing, China’s capital city. The driver of the tank at the head of the column refused to run him over, and tried repeately to go around him. When he couldn’t, he turned off his engine. Now consider what happened to the mother of a one year old child who inadvertently drove down the wrong street in Washington, DC, America’s capital city. http://cbsnews1.cbsistatic.com/hub/i/r/2013/10/03/d6de055e-3a27-11e3-a4cb-047d7b15b92e/thumbnail/940x470/15043289b5122d20ee84376aebcce625/US_1003_CapitolShootingRawVideo.jpg WASHINGTON — Federal officers shot an unarmed, suburban mother in the back when they killed her. WND learned that shocking fact after obtaining the autopsy report on Miriam Carey, who was shot and killed by U.S. Capitol Police officers and uniformed Secret Service agents six months ago, on Oct. 3, 2013. Carey strapped her baby girl into the back seat of her black Nissan Infiniti in Stamford, Conn., and drove 270 miles to Washington, D.C. Upon arriving, she apparently made a wrong turn into a White House entrance, tried to leave, was chased by heavily armed officers and ultimately shot dead by police in the shadow of the Capitol. Why she was killed is a mystery to this day because, according to the initial police report, she never crashed a security gate or a barrier, contrary to widespread media reports that claimed she had. She simply tried to make a U-turn and leave. Yet, uniformed Secret Service agents and U.S. Capitol Police officers tried to stop her, then hunted her down and shot her to death. A “Tale of Two Cities”, so to speak.
So much nonsense written by the MSM & anti-Trumpers. Even Bloomberg cherry picking statements from Mazda & Toyota, purposely mislead by omitting the ‘context’. Firstly Democrats & the ignorant might believe that Mazda, Toyota are European and hence subject to Trumps 20% threat to ‘luxury German’ cars, but neither Mazda nor Toyotya, or Honda, Nissan et-al are European. The tax if not a Trump bullying open gambit, if applied is to imports coming in of a manufactured vehicle, from Germany. And anywhere else he might later decide. It does not apply to auto’s made or assembled in the US, for any foreign operating manufacturer. Toyota who commence export to US in 1957 or Mazda for example gets around rules imposed by Obama [exhaust gas regs], by assembling in the US. Such foreign companies will have assembly, parts manufacturing plants etc in the US because any given US State with commercial sense will have made it a pre-requisite to sales, by demanding/requesting, local US jobs too. Plus, Toyota can source parts more quickly etc. The steel from which Japanese, German, Korean, French etc auto makers manufacture, is probably from China, but is not subject to Trumps ‘tariffs’. and neither would their components if made from US Steel be. And so, the EU continue to load US autos by 8–10%, but US only reciprocate with 2% for now. Ergo, Trump should actually be increasing that 2% to 10%. Further all non US luxury auto makers have vastly different price ranges for say BMW’s to Mexico or Canada, via the higher price to US, so Trump should also look at BMW exports to Mexico & Canada, that are then re-exported into the US, making Canada & Mexico a large profit, so Trump should put a tariff on those. Meaning the rich & high rollers, if they want a Merc or BMW, would have to pay the same price as if it came directly into the US from Germany. In short, no Trump does not need to listen to gerrymandering & yet more specious, nonsense from Democrats or anti-Trumpers.
It will probably have the following effects: The EU may redouble efforts to keep the UK under its control. Fishing Rights may be given up if they can get the UK to accept their laws. Why? Because what Nissan has done is to bring home two realities, namely the EU is becoming less attractive the more things they try to control, and the U.K. is a powerful competitor that will suck more businesses/investment away from the EU. As just mentioned, the UK is a powerful competitor on the world stage. Free to amend/strike down constrictive EU legislation and free to encourage inward investment, several EU nations (especially Ireland) may lose significant tax revenues. As a result, the onus will switch to control of the UK. The U.K. MSM, will redouble efforts to extend the transition period, preferably for two years. Barnier has already written to EU supporters within Parliament, suggesting he's open to this. They will want the UK tied into increased payments (as per the newly proposed EU loans package) and new taxes to boost the EU’s income, eg the mooted financial transaction tax. Various leaders of EU nations will be looking nervously at how the talks are going. Pressure will mount on Barnier and his team. People under pressure either raise their game, make mistakes or get nasty. I think the latter may happen. The U.K. side will feel in a stronger position. I hope they have an equivalent of the slave whispering into their ears, warning of hubris. On the other hand, hopefully some scales will have been shaken from EU eyes and they amend their brief to Barnier so that a mutually beneficial FTA can be agreed. However, I won’t be holding my breath. Overall, I think Nissan’s move has worsened chances of an FTA being agreed.
