This 2020 Proton X50 is the absolute buzz-ness

Malaysians love to modify their cars. If you think you’re a person with petrol pumped in your veins, chances are you would want to tweak your ride to your liking as well.

The Proton X50 might have been launched barely a week ago but Malaysia’s hyped up B-segment crossover isn’t immune to the modified ‘kakis’. This particular X50 is one of the first units delivered and the owner literally decided to spruce it up immediately after it rolled off the showroom floor.

These images are provided from the All in Proton X50 Accessories Malaysia Facebook page and this Flagship variant was initially painted Citric Orange. This was then replaced by a bright yellow wrap. This colour is called Satin Hornet Yellow and you can probably see a resemblance with a certain famous robot character.

The dazzling paint job isn’t the only thing that is changed here. The X50 is given new wheels which are 20-inch double spokes clad with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S rubbers for that serious business-look.

Then, there are the carbon side mirror covers, an aggressive two-toned rear spoiler, and a three-bar DRL set-up which doubles as a turn signal.

Besides, the buzzy-looking X50 also features a powered tailgate which is a dealer-installed option but is officially offered by Proton.

Even more interesting is the key fob which is given a matching yellow wrap treatment like the car. Well, it is said that once you start modifying, you will never stop. The same goes for the owner of this X50 who has plans on getting a new audio system setup as well as better brakes and suspension.

This is indeed a cool modification and definitely enhances the sportiness of the X50. Would you do something similar to your X50?

Toyota's Kinto is getting bored, finds a way to make the AH30 Alphard and Vellfire sliding doors close faster

You know how some cars can be truly fantastic except for one minor detail that you just can’t overlook and it ends up ruining the entire driving experience. It could be a terrible head unit or a bad seating position. Well, some of the engineers at Toyota’s Kinto subscription service thought that could be the abysmally slow speed of the sliding doors on the previous AH30 generation of the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire. Either that or they must be getting really bored over there. Or someone has secr
